Our Graduate & Professional School Prep (GPS Prep) team facilitates meaningful connections between recruiters and students. We invite you to become a visible part of our pre-professional community by:

  • Presenting specialized virtual workshops.
  • Recruiting at our targeted graduate and professional school fairs.
  • Visiting campus to host information sessions for our pre-health, pre-law, and pre-grad populations.

Handshake

Navigating Handshake

We utilize Handshake as the central organizational hub for our Graduate & Professional School Prep (GPS Prep) programming. We encourage recruiters to maintain an active profile for two key reasons:

  • Program Insight: Use Handshake to view our upcoming workshops and events. This provides a clear window into the specific health, law, and graduate school pathways we are currently supporting and the types of engagement we offer our students.
  • Streamlined Fair Registration: Every Fall and Spring, we host large-scale Graduate and Professional School Fairs. These are organized exclusively through Handshake. Having your Employer Profile established now will ensure a seamless and efficient registration process when these high-volume recruitment cycles begin.
Getting Started
  • Sign-up or log into Handshake.
  • Follow the instructions in this link to set up your account.

Events

How to Get Involved

GPS Prep offers a variety of workshops and events each semester to support student journeys toward graduate, health professional, or law school. From skill‑building workshops and topical series to fairs and school visits, each event is designed to help students learn more about their options, strengthen their application, and make informed decisions about next steps.

Graduate & Professional School Fairs

Join us for our premier recruitment events held each fall and spring, designed to connect your institution with a massive pool of motivated UCF students. Our Fall Fair is hosted in person on campus for high-impact networking, while our Spring Fair is held virtually, allowing you to engage with prospective applicants from anywhere in the country. These fairs are your primary opportunity to build brand awareness and recruit top talent for your upcoming admissions cycle.

Talk Tuesdays: Law School Series

Showcase your Juris Doctor or legal programs during our virtual law school sessions, held on select Tuesdays from 12–1 p.m. EST. As a guest presenter, you will have a dedicated platform to share your institution’s unique insights, application expectations, and practical tips directly with a targeted audience of pre-law students who are actively preparing their materials.

Welcome Wednesdays: Graduate School Series

Highlight your Master’s and Doctoral programs in our virtual graduate school series, held on select Wednesdays from 12–1 p.m. EST. These sessions allow you to engage with a broad range of students exploring advanced degrees. Use this time to demystify your admissions process, share program strengths, and connect with students who are a strong fit for your academic community.

Pre‑Health Thursdays: Health Professions Series

Connect with UCF’s high-achieving pre-health population during our virtual health professions series, held on select Thursdays from 12–1 p.m. EST. This is an ideal venue for medical, dental, veterinary, and other health professional schools to present their program requirements and provide expert guidance to students navigating the competitive health school application landscape.

In‑Person School Visits

Bring your recruitment efforts directly to the UCF campus. GPS Prep facilitates in-person school visits, providing you with a dedicated space to meet students face-to-face. These visits offer a more personal touch, allowing you to share firsthand information about your program’s culture, opportunities, and expectations while building a lasting presence at one of the nation’s largest universities.
