Recognize, understand, and appreciate various viewpoints and experiences to foster effective collaboration and decision-making. This competency emphasizes valuing diversity of thought and creating an inclusive environment where all contributions are respected.
Why It Matters
Perspective Awareness helps create stronger teams, better problem-solving, and more equitable workplaces. According to NACE’s Job Outlook 2025 survey, students often rate themselves highly in this area (78.3%), but only 63.3% of employers agree. Developing this skill enhances collaboration and organizational success.
