Summary
We are looking for a Director of Curriculum! Our department is responsible for creating social-emotional learning content that is offered in over ten states. Resilience is a large company with an even larger mission: to get SEL education into every school in the country. This intern will work closely with the Executive Director and will help them with tasks throughout the whole department—clerical, managerial, and creative.
The internship requires at least a six month commitment, with 5-10 hours per week and flexibility during the week. Those pursuing school credit for the internship will be required to document their weekly contributions in order to receive academic credit.
While unpaid, interns have the opportunity to earn a letter of recommendation upon completion of the internship. Plus, interns will earn work experience, the ability to help others, and have the opportunity to change the world by bringing social-emotional learning and mental health tools to the world.
Academic credit may be available through your school for this experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the department team, collaborate with other departments, strive to serve both customers and staff members.
- Along with “Creating workshop guides via google docs and google slides for both teacher and non-teacher professional development. Writing lesson plans, scripts, and individualized supports that will be used in schools within a matter of months
- Researching and organizing facts and sources
- Working with a large team to innovate school curriculum
- Collaborating with campaign managers, creative team, and designers
- Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.)
- Ensuring all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
Qualifications (preferred, but not required):
- Major/Majored in English literature or anything related.
- Familiarity with Google Drive, slides, docs, etc. Strong interest in employee growth and success, leadership, and team development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and receptiveness to feedback.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Consistent communication with team members and a willingness to learn and improve critical skills.
- Objective-driven approach to learning and development.
