Handshake How-To for Employers

Handshake is our interactive database that allows employers to connect with UCF students and alumni. You can post your full-time and/or part time positions, internships, co-ops, review resumes, request information sessions and schedule interviews all on this convenient platform. 

To participate, your company must request and be approved for access with UCF through Handshake. 

  • If you do not already have a personal Handshake account, please follow the below instructions found here: https://support.joinhandshake.com/hc/en-us/articles/219133047. 
  • Once you have created your personal Handshake account and created/joined your company on Handshake, click this link. This will automatically generate an approval connection request for the University of Central Florida.
    • Company research is conducted on every organization requesting a connection to UCF. The review process may take several business days.
    • Career Services will verify the legitimacy of each employer who submits a request. Some of the things we look for are an active business license; a corporate email address that matches the company’s domain; a working website; an active contact telephone number, and a commercial business address. This list is not inclusive and may change depending on the organization’s IRS status, in which case additional proof will be requested.
