Common Prerequisite Courses for Health Professional Schools
This resource provides a quick and student friendly overview of common prerequisite expectations for health professional programs and is meant to help you begin planning your academic pathway. Because every program can differ, you are responsible for checking each school’s exact requirements, including whether they accept AP, IB, or AICE test credit, require in person coursework, or place expiration dates on older classes. Programs also vary in their policies on in progress courses, required GPAs or grades, minimum credit or degree completion, and eligibility for international students. For help with prerequisites and all parts of preparing for advanced degree applications, such as gaining experience, securing recommendation letters, and practicing for interviews, connect with Graduate and Professional School Preparation (GPS Prep).
