Overview of Services
UCF Graduate & Professional School Preparation (GPS Prep) empowers students across all majors to explore, plan, and pursue advanced degrees. We assist students through four unique phases: Exploring, Building, Mastering, and Applying. Through collaboration with faculty, staff, and campus partners, we support you in building a strong foundation for graduate school, health professional, and law school preparation. Whether you are just starting to explore your options or already deep in the planning process, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Roadmap
The GPS Prep Roadmap helps you visualize the key milestones involved in building a strong and competitive application for graduate or professional school. It breaks the process into four phases—Exploring, Building, Mastering, and Applying—to show how your preparation can grow over time. Every student’s journey looks different, so think of the Roadmap as a helpful guide to the types of experiences and decisions you may want to consider along the way.

Action Plan
The GPS Prep Action Plan is a flexible, working document designed to help you track your progress as you prepare for an advanced degree. You can update it as often as you need, and it’s a helpful tool to bring to your planning meetings with GPS Prep and your Academic Success Coach. While using the Action Plan, remember that you are still responsible for completing all undergraduate degree requirements during your preparation journey.

The GPS Prep team is highly trained and experienced in supporting students pursuing advanced degrees. Whether you are preparing for graduate school (master’s or Ph.D.), health professional programs (such as medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, or veterinary medicine), or law school, our team is here to help you navigate the process with confidence.
You can meet with our office through a 30‑minute appointment or attend a 15‑minute drop‑in session during scheduled blocks, depending on what best fits your needs.
GPS Prep offers a variety of workshops and events each semester to support your journey toward graduate, health professional, or law school. From skill‑building workshops and topical series to fairs and school visits, each event is designed to help you learn more about your options, strengthen your application, and make informed decisions about your next steps.
